Good afternoon to the Farmall community. I have a old farmer friend who has a 1952 Farmall MD. It has new paint (farm quality, not show quality), new 13.6-38 tires, a new Saginaw 2 cyl. 3-pt hitch with a new Griesen directional control valve, a WFE with good tires (off a IH 806, I believe), new battery and hydraulic hoses. He has asked me if I am interested in purchasing the tractor for $2850. I am not not as I have several Farmall M's and my working fleet of farm tractors. I know this man has invested over $1600 in new parts. At what monetary amount does an old Farmall begin to lose actual value because of money invested? The WFE on the M looks similar the front end on my International 1566. Oh yes, the tractor runs smoothly and develops 55 to 60 psi oil pressure. The fuel pressure gauge is inoperable. In my experience on older diesel engines, the fuel pressure gauge is almost as important as oil pressure and water temperature. Thank you for your responses. Ray (Medfarm)
