Well if you ran a hot wire from the battery to the ignition coil and it makes the solinoid buzz you have some real problems with the wireing. From what your saying it sounds like you have thing wired right, but does the other side of the amp gauge go to the battery?? Ops maybe you have some thing wrong . The center stud on the switch, which should be the start stud, should be hooked to the small stud on the solinoid not where the battery cable hooks. Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you info on where each wire from the switch should go, I'm also guessing its a universal ignition switch right??
