I had a lightening strike once very close to my house and the lights went out. I hooked up the standby (needed running anyway) and waited a few hours. The power didn’t come on. Finally I called in and they told me that no one else on my line had called in, they weren’t showing any problems so it must be my end. After a quick dissertation with the person on the other end of the phone asking how in the (you know where) it could be on “my end” when my standby was working fine. Finally, I got it through the titanium shell surrounding their brain that I was without power, get out here and fix it. The person told me that if it was on my end it would cost $$ to find out. I said bring them on!!!! It was a blown fuse in the transformer on the HIGH voltage side of the transformer. Took a special “stick” to take the old one out and put the new one in. Yup, must be on my end… NOT!
