Never saw one of these in red paint, but we had a similar machine of Deere manufacture (Canadian) origin, which was called a disk tiller. We used it behind a John Deere B to cut up alfalfa sod. It did a dandy job but the second time we tilled the field, across the furrows at 90 degrees the ride was sure rough! Ours was a 4 foot cut, and had five blades. The front furrow wheel and the rear - tail wheel doubled as weights, and were made of several pieces bolted together. We used this in the 50's and early 60's.
