A 606 is more or less a rebadged 460. We had a 460 utility once, and ours picked up an 800 lb round bale pretty easily. My gut instinct would tell me that your loader on that tractor should be able to lift a 1200 lb. bale, especially if the three point could. However, that seems like an awful large amount of weight for that small tractor's front axle and hydraulics. Chances are, your hydraulics are getting a little bit weak, and it just doesn't have the pressure and flow to handle the loader anymore. Just a guess though, hopefully someone who knows your tractor better will post something.
