Raymond Loewy did a lot of industrial design work in the 30's 40's and 50's. I know him from another hobby of mine, railroads. He designed bodies for diesel locomotives made by Baldwin. He did a lot of design work for the Pennsylvania railroad, most notably their GG-1 electric locaomotives in the 30's. His firm "Raymond Lowey and Associates?) designed everything from appliances to auto's (and Farmalls) in the Art Deco period.
