A clutch that has grease or oil on it will grab. Does the disc or pressure plate have a glaze on them? Did you make sure it is clean?

I usually clean the the disc (both sides), the pressure plate & the flywheel with Brake cleaner. You can get it at any auto parts store. You may also need to get the flywheel ground to spec.

Maybe it's time for a new disc and pressure plate too.
