I have a 1938 F20N that is all green under what red is left. It is green in the most unlikely places, like under the rubber grommets for the universal joint, and on the tool box, under the bolts that hold it on, and under the shabby remains of the valve cover decal...etc. This tractor either came green when new, or was completely dismantled and painted green many years ago. Must have been aliens from the other side of the state, where it is rumored that john deere tractors are found. Actually it looks much darker than JD green, and is closer to the color of an oliver tractor. But then, time passes quickly, and I remember bringing an F20 to school to do a valve job and a repaint (red), and if that tractor was found today, the paint would look pretty old, since my class reunion was this past fall, for the 35th anniversary. I wish these old things could talk.
