I have an IHC Regular Gear #9 horse drawn sickle Mower and would like to know it"s value! It is in good working order as it"s been barn kept and not used for at least 20 years. Bar, knives, and guides show very little rust, I mean very little! Seems they were replaced around the time of it"s last days in the field. Pitman is ok, tires are in good shape, and the wood tongue is like new, no rotting or decay at all, still VERY solid! The seat is not rusted, and all paint is fair. Mower has some spots of rust where your feet rest and about a 2" x 3" patch of rust under the paint on a "crossmember" for lack of a term. Not your average pile of rust that I"ve seen on auction sites and at farm auctions! This machine is in great codition. I have pics if it would help determine the value of this nice peice of antiquity!! My Grandmother tells me the gearbox was rebuilt when my Grandfather was still alive and in his Draft horse working days (20+ yrs ago). I do not know that for sure but I can tell you that a good tug on the tongue with bar down and engaged will move the bar back and forth. Also the gear box still has oil in it. Any help on determining the value of this machine would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you, John
