I have the same problem, fast for mowing. The best idea I came up with was make sure the rear tires are as small as you can get 8.5 x 24 or 9.5 x 24. I had 12.5 x 24 and the were really fast. I was thinking of using my AV for mowing but they have 9.5 x 36 tires with the same transmission.
