M w/ corn picker

I bought a late M w/ a 2MH corn picker. The picker was a loss to say the least. Did farmall sell the tractor and picker as a matched pair. I notice the M has no pulley drive and it also has a dip stick to check the oil which I've never seen. I'm kinda new to antiques so any info would help.
