He means a 282 diesel out of a 450 diesel... It's a gas start/diesel run engine, same as the MD. The Continental diesel out of a 350 diesel would bolt right in with no modifications, but these engines are rare and parts are nearly impossible to find. I'm also thinking that you might be able to use the engine out of a 544 diesel. It's always a challenge to find a serviceable engine that's out of a tractor for a reasonable price. Normally, you can get the whole tractor for less.
