Milky tan sounds like it's got water in it. Common in these, they leak around the gear shift and the cover bolts. Good idea to change it - a shed out of the rain is good, too. That knob is for the hydraulics - a 'Liftall,' that one's called. Takes six quarts. The drain is underneath, almost staight undr the fill. The belt pulley uses the same oil as the transmisson/rearend. Last time I changed the oil in mine I poured a quart in that fill on the top before I drained the rear end and transmission so it would have fresh, too. Good luck with your H Wm
