Planted 20 some acres of corn for our club picking day but it never made it. I guess those 115° temps during Red Power were just too much. So I cut the whole field with the swather week ago last. It's been raked twice and rained on who knows how many times. finaly got half dry today and I shut my eyes and baled it. might not be the best feed but i bet the old cows eat it. They ain't near so fussy when its below zero and the snow is blowing. But anyway I talked to a neighbor that has some good dryland corn and he said we can pick there. Ain't friends great?
