Cub hydraulic system problem

My Cub HiBoy (1950 vintage) Touch Control hydraulic system has started to chatter when I raise or lower implements. I think they call it hiccupping. I am going to replace the check valves in the hydraulic control system. Does anyone have information on how to do this? Are there other parts I should renew while I am doing that? Is there anything I shouldn't mess with when I have the hydraulic control apart? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
