If youhave a Arc welder or mig welder handy place a nut over the plug "stub" and weld the nut to the "stub" have the proper size wrench handy to turn out the nut while the metal is no longer red but still hot. It may be helpful to have the wrench on ice before you start to help cool the plug. The idea is to get nut on the plug, and heat the plug and area with the welding process and quickly cool and shrink the plug while backing out the plug. I have removed broken studs in blocks using this method.
