The neighbors cut the alfalfa last weekend so I took my tractor and mower out and mowed the lower pasture field since I could get to it and not have to drive through the standing alfalfa. It's too stony to plow up so the grass just keeps on growing and I keep on mowing it. Couple days later dug the old Super 66 New Holland baler out and baled it up. It hadn't been used in a couple of years because the ground has been so wet and I didn't wish to rut it all up so I just cut it and left it lay. But this spring has been a dry one so I decided I would have me some fun. Didn't amount to much more than a pick up load, but it sure was relaxing to be out there hearing the ole baler chugging away behind me. Hopefully, if it doesn't rain, I'll have a little more to bale up tomorrow. My family thinks that I am just wasting my time, especially since I have no livestock to feed it to, but they just don't realize how relaxing it can be just to be out there even for a little while.
