Check the oil bath. That's like a 5 minute job. Pull the carb and give it a good once-over. Might take you an hour. Neither of these checks will hurt the performance of your tractor so you've got nothing to lose. Hemming and hawing, asking about it... You lose two days use of your tractor waiting for the answers to roll in. Might as well make productive use of your time. Now, what do you mean by "weak?" Is it not revving up? Is it low on power? What does the tractor do when you open the throttle? Sounds like you have plenty of compression at least, so it's not likely to be an internal engine problem.
