Hey, my tractor is setting out in the middle of the field and I need your help to get me back to work. I believe the starter went out and will be taking it to the shop to get it worked on. My bigger concern is that when I took the starter off, I looked at the gears in the starter that interlock with the gears inside the tractor and the gears on the starter were stripped on the top portion but not the bottom portion. I also looked at the bigger gear inside the tractor that it interlocks with and they were worn but not quite as stripped. I'm sorry for making y'all picture this, I'll try to get pictures soon. I am afraid that even if I get the starter working again, this stripped gear issue will just get worse or maybe was even the initial cause of the problem. Also, what is the name of the gear the starter interlocks with in the tractor? Am I in big trouble? Thanks Ramon
