Reading all these posts, it is amazing the variety of opinions. I would like to make several comments myself. First, I am always amazed at the number of parts available at my local Case IH dealer. They stock parts for all of the letter series Farmalls or have them in a day or so. It seems that they have all wearing parts like seals, bearings, gaskets, etc. I agree that parts are expensive, but they are also expensive if you have taken your car to the garage to have it repaired. Many of these companies make their money on repair parts. I am just glad that they still stock all these parts; because if I had to have them made at a machine shop they would really be expensive. One alternative to bearings and seals is to get them directly from a bearing supply house (they also have been bought out and combined so there is not as many to select from so less competition).
