I have a 125 that would run for a while and die. It drove me crazy, I tried points, plug, rebuilt the carburator, swapped known good parts from my running 123 to try to find the trouble, new coil, new condensor, reset the valve lash, cleaned the carbon out of the cylinder head etc. Anything anybody could think of, I tried. Finally, figured that the exhaust valve might be sticking open when it got hot. I tried Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas, and Mobil One in the crankcase. Worked like a charm. Mixed it strong for the first couple tankfulls, then backed off to an ounce or two to the gallon. Never died again. A year or two later when I went inside it to rebuild the engine, I found that the exhaust valve had a bit of a bend in it, so I replaced it. Now I use a little MMO in both my 125 & 123, never another problem. Not trailer queens either, both get run hard.
