Lost the link ChadS sent me, but heres what I did. 1.I made dang sure the linkage and tube from the gov to carb is in that notch correctly. 2.I adjusted out the screw on the side of the carb near the tube from gov. 3. Removed side cover on gov. 4. With tractor shut off and throttle in its slowest setting I adjusted the top governeor set screw so it just touched the governor housing. 5. Pulled throttle wide open and adjusted the bottom set screw so it just touched the bottom. 6. I suspected that the carb butteryfly was not closing completely so I turned the "Y" or fork down one turn. Pull a pin and turn it down one turn clockwise. 7. Started tractor and I had to adjust that screw on the side to up slow idle rpm's a bit. Did not yet check RPM's, but at lowest idle purrs like a kitten at about 450 rpm's. With throttle wide open sounds right. I will probably get a new governor spring also.
