Curt, I would have to disagree with you on the statement that if it has an alternator on it then it's a 12 volt. I had a 6 volt Super C and it had an alternator on it and I just purchased a 6 volt alternator and put oit on my 200 Farmall. I believe the alternator that I put on last month had 6V stamped on it. Otherwise I would look to see if the generator or regulator has 6V on it. If it was a full 12 volt conversion then it should have a balast resistor in line between the coil and the distributor and lights should have been converted over to 6 volt. Good Luck! Ernie Bob
