My father farmed up unitl a few years ago. We sold all of the machinery, except one tractor. It is a 656 IH (farmall). my grandfather bought it new in the 60's (?) Anyway i was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about production, restoration parts like paint and decals. Information about the motor, hp estimates (60-65?) and any books on how to rebuild the motor (valves tick alot..but have for as long as i can remember!) and change the head, remachine it so it can take unleaded fuel. I would prefer if there are sites online that one can direct me to, preferably where there are some nice pictures. We had a nice fleet of tractors 656 gas with a loader, 756 gas(MY tractor), 766 diesel (excellent all aroound) and a 1086 cab tractor. but they all sold at the auction. i miss fariming!
