Bryan: Most of these I've seen are piped into the fill hole of the touch control, with added resovoir above that then vented at top of resovoir. Soon as you go to the vented cover, you can ignor the fill rule of filling to hole with rockshafts in rear position. I cant see why your proposal wouldn't work well also. Drain hole will be a bit smaller so fluid flow from one to the other would be a bit slower. I think you will be able to make added resovoir look neater using drain. If it doesn't work you can easily change it.
