My Super A starter was acting like that, slow to turn over, etc. Took it apart, cleaned the armature, new burshes, etc. Now it spins at 1,000,000 rpm on 12V. It's easy enough to take them apart, clean, new burshes, bearings if necessary, etc. I got everything I needed at NAPA. p.s. I've been to Truro. Small world.
