Daniel, I was once stuck trying to get a bush out so a made a puller tool that worked really well. Takes a bit of time to make though. I'll try to describe it:
1)Find a bolt where the head will fit right inside the bush and there is some thread still showing.
2)Find a washer for the bolt where the outer diameter is approx the same as the OD of the bush.
3)File the inner and outer of the washer into an oval shape so that when the washer is on the bolt it is able to tilt to about 45 deg and the washer will push into the bush. Think of the washer as the shape of a carburetor butterfly.
4)With the washer on the bolt push the bolt into the bush head first. Now trying to pull the bolt out of the bush, the washer should lock onto the bush. Using a flat bar with a hole in it and/or some other packing, screw a nut on the bolt and wind the bush out.

Note that this may damage the bush so make sure you have a new one to replace it.

I hope you can understand my description, this idea got me out of a very difficult situation.
