David, its simple, remove the floor pan, disconect the hyd. hoses, then you will see a cover plate with shift linkage, and the park mech. if the problem is there you will see it, if its inside, remove the linkage and the cover, the park pawl will come with the plate. be carfull when removing this, as there are shift bushings that can fall off. to replace remove the cover just below it on the left side to help guide the reverse shifter in. wouldent hurt to probe around in the bottom with a magnet, mite find loose parts. luck
