Hi Dave, Yes, you're right about that flatiron "U" strap. This picture is kinda bad, as this guy has Jerryrigged this cylinder up to work his 3-point. But on our cultivator, they mounted to the axles kinda like that only higher up, as you say, and with a heck of lot more machinery. There were collars and springs on a horizontal pipe, which could be adjusted fore and aft to determine when the lift occured during the cylinder stroke. Yep, if you worked the lever just right, you could drop just the right side. I seem to recall that if would lift the same way. Allan
