I picked up my M thirteen years ago. Dragged it out of a cow pasture. During the early restoration years I asked an old Farmall mechanic, I had my reasons to trust, what the valve clearances should be. I had no manuals. He told me hacksaw blade. Let them clap. They will not burn so quickly. I have recently discovered the internet and this web site and finally ordered some manuals. In the manuals I read the clearances should be .017". I rechecked mine and find them to be .025 to .030". The engine runs so nicely I hesitate to change it. Am I doing any damage?
