Just got the books and Im a reading and looking and looking and a reading. Need to do all the fluids and grease. Pressure washed it the other day and now all of a sudden no charge. It has a 8 volt battery in it, any problems here? The amp gauge always read a healthy charge rate before the wash. I guess because its trying to charge 8vdc. I was fooling with the regulator cover while it was running and saw a spark jump at the cover screw, my mistake. I just noticed Its leaking hyd fluid from the pistons or rods coming out from the hyd. unit. Can this be repaired? It makes a clacking noise in reverse like too much endplay in a shaft in the trans case, like a shaft smacking in its bore and a loud whine. All forward gears sound goo d and quiet though. Any quick ideas? I want to pop the top and have a look inside the case. Any reccomendations on fluids, I want to do them all, probably take a long full day. I am a nut when it comes to lubrication and I have to say this tractor has more places to stick an oil can that any piece of equipment in my machine shop.
I have a ton of questions about hooking up implements and parts sources. Like new gaskets for the rear axel pans, or can I just use silicone? And whats the best way to get a 300lb mower deck out from under the machine so I can start figuring ou the jig saw puzzle with the implements. If anyone has any pictures or diagrams of plow and cultivators installed I sure would appreciate sending them my way. Hugh sent me some but I am still confused... a whole lot of parts here. Sorry for the long post, just a little confused here after dealing with 3ph all my life. I thank you all for any help you can give me. scott#2
