Broken Steering Wheels

How many others here have had or have a broken spoke on their IH steering wheel? Mine was obviously re welded years ago,and now its broken on the weld again.I was told this 300U had power steering but it doesnt,and the steering is heavy unless your moving along.Some of its got to do with the former pickup truck tires on the front that have flat type treads,unlike the ribbed factory type...I would imagine those steer easier.That and the fact that so much weight is up front.I have had a new wheel on order for a week...I'm still waiting for it.Looks like its going to come in handy.
