Gibby: I think there one little detail you may have to tinker with. Those hitches from that series of tractor were draft controled. You can use it without the draft control, on an ordinary double action control valve. The draft control had a linkage running from hitch rockshaft to control valve. Some of these had cable control while others had a linkage like mini ty rod system. The control valve is also different.

On the earlier post this is what I based my reasoning on. 30 years ago I needed transmission parts for my Farmall 300. By this time I was doing most of my farming with 560, 656 and 1066, and 300 was 4th tractor on pecking order. IH partsman priced out parts I needed for 300. I asked if there was a less expensive way. He said, " I know where there is a Farmall 300 rear chassis, with all gears, axles, IPTO and fast hitch, and also a 300 Utility with TA tube and no hitch or pto. They will each cost you about the same and you will have a future parts supply. He further advised that I could utilize every thing from the Utility except the axles, pedals and transmission cover. Every thing else of value is the same." I chose the Farmall because of axles, but must admit the TA sounded attractive.
