That one looks a little cobbled up, but mostly there. You have some extra chains there, and I don't know which ones are holding up broken parts and which ones are there for transport. They are not a safe implement to use, even on a good day. Too many pieces to break; caution and luck are needed. My mom's Uncle Stanley had one of those many years ago. Basically it's a Rube Goldberg sort of thing; the belt pulley supplies power to a set of reduction chains which drive a winch. The winch pulls the arms and thus the bucket up using steel cable. A brake drum controls the descent, sort of. We had a wagon lift that operated the same way, back before hydraulic wagons became popular. Once in a great while you could drop a wagon if the brake didn't catch, and you hoped the wagon was empty at the time. You had to make everyone stand clear of the whole thing when it was in use.
