Kelly, I've owned a few of those good old Fords, still got a couple of them. What the others have said is correct, I won't go into any more detail on that, but I do want to add one thing I've found that seems rather strange. It seems these carburetors have a tendency to loosen up where they are mounted to the intake, maybe the gasket shrinks, I don't know, but it will drive you nuts trying to get the engine running smooth, just tighten down those four bolts and it runs like a new one again. The in-line 6s are particularly bad about this, but I've had it happen on the V-8s also.
