Farmall Newbie, Yes, remove the 5/8 inch drum retainer cap screw, washer and cork gasket. Slide the drum from the shaft. Pry out the seal (or double seal)and install new seals (2) for each side of the tractor. Clean and replace the drum. Manual says to replace the cork gasket to seal the drum hub and the spline shaft. Before replacing the band and housing assembly, check the band for distortion by placing a drum in the band and moving the band lever to set the band on the drum. If the band is not sprung, it will tighten on the drum without flexing at any one point. Correct any distortion and install assemblies and adjust the brakes. You should have about 1 inch of pedal freeplay from where the pedal is at rest against the transmission cover to where you feel the brake start to take hold as measured at the top front of the brake pedal. Good luck. FB
