Winner of the threshing machine is.....

our forum's own FARMALLKID ! Yes he was interested and thought he could store it at his grama's. I thought a young person was deserved of this offer as he has always shown an interest in old iron, I'm sure some of it has rubbed off from his Dad. Anyway the machine will be going to Wyoming Ontario, about an hour and some drive from Me. Since Mitch was keen on it I told him I would help him with the trucking cost and hopefully I'll be able to see my old Goodison threshing at the Brigden steam show. I do want to thank everyone who showed an interest and were making queries within their organizations. I know Mitch and his Dad and their friends will enjoy owning a piece of history that was made very close to where they live. Now if they can just find a Goodison steam engine.... and that's the story about the guy who gave away a threshing machine on a tractor forum. I had almost convinced a museum to take it, then a scrap dealer made me an offer and while I was thinking about it he returned with another fellow and they spent about an hour going over the machine, then I got figuring that it wasn't scrap they were trying to buy , but buy at scrap price to resell to the Mennonites...that's when I put it back in the barn. I am glad to give it away, knowing that Mitch appreciates what he has been offered and I'm sure he will have it threshing as soon as possible. The machine is saved from the scrap yard, no one took advantage of me , I will have more room in my barn, and Mitch has a piece of history that I can visit....that's my story and I'm sticking to it...Mike in Exeter Ontario
