IH may have had some idea on the number of wide front tractors they produced (in fact I am sure they had an exact number), but as yet those records have not been found. Suffice it to say, the wide front F-20s are very hard to find. They seem to be very regional in where they were found. The one I have came from Maine (potato country), and there are some small number found in California where raised bed plantings sere the norm. THe reast are very widely scattered. They did distinguish whether they had a factory wide front on the by the addition of a "W" suffix after the serial number. For instance, if the tractor was just a wide front end the serial number would have read FA123456W. If it was a narrow tread, wide front end it would have read FA123456NW.
