Thank You for the response. Sounds as if you have done more than one of these. Is the part number 372712R91, a shaft only, or is it a complete distributor? I have looked at my specs in my manual and it tells me that I have a 40 degree full advance shaft .The distributor plate says that it is 40 degrees as well. Is there a different shaft(distributor) that must be install? Different than the one you gave me. Does this shaft (dist) change the dwell? Is there an old factory manual on the fire crater parts ? If so , where can I find one? Thanks for your help so far. I'm sure I will need more. Duane
