Front Hydraulic Lift Dips at Throttle Advancement

My newly acquired 1959 model 140 does a
curious thing. When you move from nearly full
throttle to wide open throttle, the front hydraulic
lift dips down about 5% travel from the all the
way up position. Pull the throttle back and the
front hydraulic arm moves back to the all up
position. Ram the throttle to the stop again
and the front hydraulic arm immediately dips
down a couple of inches or so.

I can't remember if the Super As and 140s I
drove as a boy had that same tendency.
Anyone know what is happening with the
throttle/hydraulic dance routine?
