You can put a crome stack on as long as you don"t mind the loud exaust noise . But if you want to do a simple basic restoration I"d put a muffler on these tractors look great original . my exaust on my 42 H has a bolt flanged pipe that goes on the exaust manafold then the muffler slides on and clamps on to the pipe. all new exaust have a threaded pipe that screws into the manafold and then you clamp on the muffler.have"nt seen any real original hook ups anywhere so if you don"t have the real one good luck i used my original one. put a picture in photos so i can see what she looks like . happy hunting .JRB
