Looks like you already got the good news about a TA not being a brake.
Now to the fun part... Fixin it.
You wont be happy if you take it to a dealer. TA repair is a 3 way split and the labors gona rock your world + dealer price on a rebuilt TA is in the $1000 range just for the parts.
Go that route if your time is worth more than your money.
If you have some time and want to save some bucks. Or like me have no money or time.
You can fix it your self for about $600 give or take on some of the tools and fluids.

Steel wheel ranch has rebuilt TA"s for $395 + core. Your core is not worth much but try any way, add $100 core charge if they wont take it.
Get the TA seal kit they sell, has all the seals and gaskets you need for I think $60.
