Is there a discription of how to time the mag to the motor that is more clear than the instructions in the manual for an F-12? The instructions say to lift the pawl with a wire through the oil cup. Is this so the rotor can be moved clockwise from the coupler side? If I get the distributor gear to the number one position by going counter clockwise (from the coupling side)will it be mistimed? The instructions say to lift pawl and turn clockwise from the coupling side. I have two proffessionaly rebuilt F-4 mags. One is different (from the coupling side)than the other. One is like the picture in the manual (wire access throgh the oil cup to the pawl)while the other does not have the same type of set up. The oil cup is there but the pawl is not accessible. I figured perhaps someone has taken the time to break the process down so idiots like me can understand. Thanks for any help you can provide.
