Hi Brent: Sorry to hear about your misfortune with the oil line. Worked many years on those tractors in fact over 30. The line you are referring to is 1/8 " and should have been steel with a copper coating. Not nylon. Many were replaced with it. I never did. Always used steel. It should have compression fittings on each end. When you replace it, do not run oil up the line to other end. Leave with air in line or it will rupture the gauge. I tell you from experience. Good luck. Sorry to hear of your uncle. Guess we are all getting older. So it goes.
