Merlin, If you find a 414, 420, 416, or 422 cotton picker with the diesel 282 you can get the bonus of the engine, correct truck oil pan, bell housing, and transmission, all of which will fit your truck. I think the front motor mounts are the same as the truck but I could be wrong as it has probably been 20 years since I have seen one up close. It is even easier to use this cotton picker engine than the 282 tractor engine, which is easy. Since you are in StLouis, I would think you could easily find a complete cotton picker engine/transmission assembly in some of the salvage yards in the Missouri boot heel. Harold H
