DT407 in both tractors but not the same internal parts, early 407 blocks in 1256 were different, 1456 had larger wrist pins with rods to match, which took different pistons, inj pump drive was splined into pump, otherwise late 1256 block & head, crank, cam, oil pump, gears, cooler was interchangeable.
