The hood and gas tank on a cub are all one piece. There is a seam between the gas tank and the hood that looks like it should seperate, but it doesn't. Sometimes you'll see the metal bent where someone tried with a screwdriver to seperate them. They are riveted together. Drain the tank before removing and the unit will be easier to handle because of less weight.
