until I put it under load. I started plowing my garden and I noticed after several passes the oil pressure was dropping. It was in the winter when
I redid the engine and I put 10-30 oil in the engine. I pulled the tractor out of the garden
and changed to sae 30 oil. That cured the oil pressure.

Are you sure the bearing clearances are
to spec? If these are to spec I would check out that oil pump. The pickup screen on my oil pump
was full of sludge and I soaked it in parts cleaner and I used the original pump. When I do
car engines I always put in a new oil pump. If I was doing another tractor engine I would install
a new pump. Check with your machine shop that did
your crankshaft and recheck the bearing inserts
that were supplied to you. Too much clearances
on your main bearings will cause you to lose oil pressure and worn cam bearings too. Good Luck, Hal

PS: My A looked and ran fine. I screwed up using
IH dealer's paint. I used acrylic enamel after that.
