Thanks NDS, this is really good information. I will have to look my cutter over more carefully. I don't know what model it is or what year it is, though I am guessing that most of them would be similar in design and function. And thanks CNKS for mentioning that using the woodruff key in the gear wheel to spindle assembly ought not to be thought of as a protective device. Also, I seem to be doing okay with gas flow overall. I have a new sediment bowl assembly. I will see what develops. By the way, does anyone know where I can get the appropriate sized metal line for the gas lines and also the threaded compression fittings for installing them? I would really like to replace all that old line from bowl to carb. Isn't ignorance a great thing? You walk around ignorant of what could happen and you're generally pretty happy. In fact, the people I know that know the most tend to be worriers. I take the Alfred E. Newman point of view, usually. What, me worry? Thanks guys, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate having your input as well as a place to get it from. This place is great! CSD
