Nice tractor and only 75 hrs--boy is that a keeper. Does it have power steering? This is what I did to my 64 424 brakes. Remove and clean all parts good and sand the surfaces to a dull finish ( hand sand). Sand the brake disk to remove and rust/glaze build up. Disassemble the 2 counter-rotating steel disk and clean the ball valleys real good along with the balls. Ask the guy a NApa for shoe grease that goes where there is not suppost to be any grease. coat the ball valleys and balls lightly. Reassemble everything and adjust. Since my 424 gets little use I ride the brakes lightly during each use and it will slide the tires easily with quite a bit of pedal pressure. Like others have said they ain't the best in the world. One word of caution: Without the loader the the 424 will lift the front end in a heart beat so be mindful of that.Enjoy your tractor.
